Dr Sarisha Ramanand is an international Climate and Development Consultant based in South Africa, and the Director of CLIMATE CHANGE AND SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANTS (PTY) LTD. Her work experience spans +15 years in 24 countries thus far. She is a National Steering Committee member of the GEF-SGP in South Africa and an Expert Country Reviewer at the UNFCCC. She has a professional background in climate mitigation and adaptation, and her specialisation is Transformational Adaptation. Her expertise includes Climate change funding proposal writing and reviews, Specialist climate research & feasibility studies, Monitoring and Evaluation, Capacity Building and Training, Climate change gender mainstreaming, aspects of Climate finance through Blockchain Technology solutions, Professional academic tutoring and e-Learning Script design.

She provides technical leadership and guidance on ongoing climate change projects in sub-Saharan Africa and globally. Her current research interests include Quantum Social Science, investigating the relations between models of quantum physics and how they can be used to describe social change and transformations, improving understanding of human-environment systems and closing the gaps between socio-economic sectors and the impacts of climate change.
